Our Origin Story
I worked hard and made a dam! (1970)
In a dirt parking lot at the Shilo Presbyterian Church in Waxhaw, North Carolina, I built my first major engineering project—Lake Toog! I gathered materials near a large oak tree and waited for rain. When a storm hit, the initial dam washed away, but I didn't give up. I added plastic straws along the top of the dam for support. This time, it worked! Lake Toog flooded the parking lot and held strong throughout the storm. Despite setbacks, I was proud of my creation, and it became my favorite project.

In the beginning, there was dBASE 3+
Founded in 1988 as C. Harold McManus & Associates, PROBE Consulting Company, LLC consists of social scientists, educators, business leaders, and communication experts focused on enhancing outcomes through collaboration and research. Our initial work involved DOS-based programs for Ph.D. candidates, which streamlined data collection and processing for SPSS-X, saving significant time in analysis. We're still innovating today!
